“Here’s something for you!” Joyce smiled and dug out a cute hello kitty photo frame with a picture of some of us who attended their birthday party at Curtiz’s house some time ago.
I immediately grinned at the look of the photo frame and am so touched that they actually went to develop the photos and everything! Thank you danny, joyce, victor and Sk! They even added an envelope of pictures for me to switch them around if I want and I also received a little message from my dear joyce too!
We continued eating our sushi at sushi tei and I must say my saba teriyaki is one of the most delicious sabas I’ve ever tasted. =D

Kbox session came next after we decided not to watch a movie and I’m quite glad to be able to sing some songs before I fly off to foreign land. =) And to think that I’m flying that night. Haha!

The next round of goodbyes came from my bestie and my uni friends, waisan, chermaine and Cheryl. Initially I was rather shocked that they decided to do some house-visiting but I managed to catch them in time after I met my dear galers before that. I got my second 21st birthday present that night! A pretty purple notebook (love it to bits) and a black crystal chomel necklace which I chose unknowingly cos they tricked me! =D

We sat around my living room admiring my secondary school photos (gosh, that was embarrassing)

and finally it’s time to go to the airport! Bestie huiwen accompanied me there with my daddy and I met up with my fellow school mates who are also going to Stuttgart! There’s wanwei (wansy), peisin and Yvonne.

Flight’s at 3.20am and we checked in rather early as we wanna shop around first. And oh, thank you all my friends, for all the sms-es and calls etc! =)
Guess what? We spotted this small theater having free screenings of movies 24/7! Haha what a great way to spend your transit time man. Too bad we didn’t have enough time to catch the movie. We found out that one of the shops sells Victoria secret’s products!! First time ever in singapore, and it made us giddy with excitement =D luck wasn’t at our side though (btw I met joanne (CS) in the departure hall, turns out she’s taking the same plane as us!) as when we were deciding what to buy, the last call for our flight sounded and we panicked and ran to the boarding gate.

In short, the flight comprises of a 7-and-a-half hours worth of flight to doha, 2 hours transit, LOTS of food (I was totally stuffed), movies, games, music from the in-flight entertainment and another sorta excruciating 7 hours flight to Frankfurt. =x yikes

doha airport!

I’m quite proud to say that we managed to navigate our way from the airport to the city center taking the subway and asking tons of people for directions. =P the people here are very friendly, often offering their help without you asking. Heh

a very confusing map

me and their s-bahn!

nice buildings, there'll be LOTS more of this to come

haupbahnhof (hope i spelling it correctly haha)
We settled down in Frankfurt hostel in midday, and we had mini culture shocks along the way, plus lots of interesting findings too! Wahaha. Like the fact that we have to press a green button to open the train doors to get out and their super scary traffic lights that turns green in a split second and turns back to red in about 5 seconds later. It’s common to see people still walking even if it’s red, but we usually run cos we don’t wish to be squashed under a car. =P

The hostel was great, with a warm and friendly reception, free wireless internet (my lifeline), cheap internet usage at their computers (1 euro per hour), wonderful breakfast (toast, nutella, cereals, drinks), nice bunk beds, cheap rooms with bathroom and shower attached, very clean and tidy, and best of all, they allow you to leave your luggage with them even after you checked out if you wanna walk ard the city still and you can come back for them later before you catch your flight or train. =D

some cathedral with amazing designs on it and a very big service hall inside

their trees are all like this. well, in town at least

this is a picture of the whole tree

why can't singapore buildings have these stuff?
